Rejoice! Be thankful in all things!
Rejoice!
Be thankful in all things!
Is this possible? What would be the benefit if you could? To find out, let’s do an Experiment in Appreciation. What if you venture to be thankful for something you don’t want? That would challenge your ego viewpoint that this is not a beneficent universe. Also it would expose you to the possibility of the Infinite Good.
If you resist the things you don’t want, then you just get more of what you don’t want. Whatever we resist, persists. So just allow yourself to accept and to be thankful for all things, and see what happens. Is the Infinite Good just waiting for you when you embrace your anxiety, to Show you what is hidden behind that secret door?
The ego game plan is to be thankful for what it wants and to reject or resist what it doesn’t want. The limited vision of the ego prevents us from seeing the Hidden Good Universe. If I assume that all things work together for our Infinite Good, I can say “Yes” to whatever happens. Suppose there are no accidents, no conspiracies. Suppose there is no evil, no injustice, no fate, no basis for self-protection, cynicism, doubt, fear, anger or revenge. Suppose there is no hell, either now or later. Suppose there is nothing that could oppose, hurt or defeat you. Suppose nothing can separate you from your Infinite Good except your ego belief system and all of its illusory dramas.
Only the Infinite Good exists. Is that true or not? It does not appear to be true. To find out, you will have to take the ultimate risk: questioning your story. There is no other way to find out. Sorry! But before you take the ultimate risk, you can just do the Thank You Xperiment. Maybe a few of those experiences will be convincing. The next time it rains on your parade, just Xperiment! Accept it gracefully and gratefully. Welcome the rain. Be glad, rejoice!
And, if you will, please share your experience on this blog.
